At Network World's IT Roadmap even, Zenoss will demonstrate its Enterprise 2.3 solution, which enables enterprise IT staff and cloud services providers to monitor their virtual and physical IT infrastructures with a single, integrated product that costs significantly less than offerings from Big Four providers IBM, HP, CA, and BMC.

Zenoss Enterprise delivers functionality across the major IT management lifecycle disciplines (such as inventory discovery, configuration detection, network mapping, availability and performance monitoring, and event management). Integration of inventory data in a central configuration database allows Zenoss Enterprise users to view all performance, availability, and event data with a single web console. The solution also includes remediation, allowing Zenoss Enterprise to take corrective actions automatically when problems occur.
Features of Zenoss Enterprise 2.3 include:

-- Native, agentless VMware monitoring of entire virtualization infrastructure
-- Automatic discovery and inventory of all virtual infrastructure (VI3) components including virtual machines, ESX Servers, clusters, and VMware data stores
-- Physical and virtual resource usage and performance (memory, disk, CPU, and more)
-- Real-time detection when virtual machines move from one VMware host to another (called VMotion)
-- Physical and virtual performance and availability information correlated and displayed in a single, central web console

"Virtualization brings a new set of obstacles for enterprise IT departments such as managing virtual machine sprawl," said Bill Karpovich, CEO and co-founder, Zenoss. "Zenoss 2.3 meets the challenges IT Roadmap attendees face, with a powerful monitoring solution that covers both physical and virtual environments - saving time and money through quick installation, auto-discovery of infrastructure assets, and drop-in performance templates."
