Keeping in line with its game plan on global expansion and a shift toward eco-friendly, advanced, end-to-end services including near-shore Co-location Solutions and Services, Cloud Computing, Business Continuity, Datacenter Transformation Solutions and Mainframe Management Services, HCL Technologies has completed the acquisition of a 35,000 square foot Datacenter from a Fortune 500 Organization in Parsippany, New Jersey. The effort toes its strategy of taking its Green Datacenter Quotient framework to the next level.

The acquisition would mean that the Parsippany Datacenter would complement HCL’s existing near-shore delivery network in US, comprising its operations center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Further, it would also prop its global Datacenter delivery ecosystem, powered by its partner footprints across the globe. HCL currently boasts of as many as nine Datacenter partners.
The focus has been on an improved market share in North America for the Indian tech major. It may be seen that the new operations – both in New Jersey and North Carolina, has aided the company to prove helpful to the local economies through short and long term job creation for construction and IT support in the future, pointed out R Srikrishna, SVP, Sales - North America, HCLT Infrastructure Services Division (HCLT ISD).

The acquisition of New Jersey Datacenter is expected to bring to the fore HCL’s presence in the sphere of data Datacenter transformation, Datacenter consolidation and Datacenter virtualization. This apart, the company is also upgrading this facility to a Tier III equivalent Next Generation Datacenter by deploying top of the line eco-friendly world class certifications.

More than 100 local US workers are to be hired Datacenter, which has been designed for mission critical systems conforming to the Uptime Institute's TER III guidelines.
