A five-year IT Infrastructure Management has been inked by HCL Technologies with Electrolux, a global leader in home and professional appliances. The deal would cover support of workplace services for Electrolux inclument ding proactive monitoring and management of network, servers, IT security and end user computing environin 12 countries in the APAC region including Australia, according to a press release.

Electrolux has gone in for the deal to offer a standardized service to Electrolux operations in Asia Pacific by keeping costs in the existing levels. HCL was picked as the technology company “understands standardization of services and has an ability to support the business locally across the region”, Bertil Norberg, Electrolux Group CIO. Electrolux would be looking at making the most of HCL’s tools, processes and best practices to reach its business goals.

As per the arrangement, HCL will deliver these services to Electrolux through its Global Delivery Centers in India and Malaysia and onsite services strengthened by a robust partner eco-system. This apart, it would provide multilingual helpdesk services in languages including English, Vietnamese, Thai and Bahasa (Malaysia & Indonesia) to Electrolux end-users across Asia Pacific.
Commenting on the deal, Pradeep Bindal, Senior Vice President & Worldwide Head of Sales, Infrastructure Management & Transformation Services, HCLT ISD, said  HCL’s scalable and localized delivery set-up combined with its focus on reducing operational cost will increase the effectiveness of Electrolux IT spend.
