Providing enterprises with the option of device-based utility pricing, HCL Technologies Ltd (HCL) has unveiled a new suite of next-generation data center services.

The services, which have been shrink-wrapped based on the ITIL Service Catalog, comprise Managed Storage Service, Managed Back Service, Offsite-Vaulting Services, Virtualization-as-a-service, Cloud Services for Testing & Development Environment, Disaster Recovery and Mainframe Management Services.

According to R Srikrishna, Executive Vice President & Worldwide Head of Sales, HCL Technologies Infrastructure Services Division, the new suite of services provides enterprises with hybrid and right-shore delivery models to bring scalability and flexibility in their computing environment. "Coupled with our globally acknowledged IT Operations Management Services these value-added offerings promise transformational, non-linear management of enterprise data center assets at significantly reduced costs," he said.

To be delivered from HCL's Tier III green data center in New Jersey, NextGen data center will also provide hosting and co-location services as an additional value-add to potential, as well as existing, infrastructure outsourcing customers of HCL. Customers will also get to see HCL take on the responsibility for the management and monitoring of IT assets along with ancillary services including intelligent hands and feet, facilities reporting and asset management.

Srikrishna said the services are also “the immediate manifestation of the longer term opportunity for a series of cloud-based services which we see impacting the data center space.”

The New Jersey data center boasts of top level eco-friendly technologies from leading solution and technology vendors, plus world class certifications. Designed for mission critical systems conforming to the Uptime Institute's TIER III guidelines, the facility also follows the LEED guidelines established by U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
