In a bid to manage highly sophisticated devices in today's data center, Netcordia has announced support for Cisco's most advanced line of Nexus products, the 1000v, 5000 and 7000. The company, an independent provider of network management solutions, sees network managers troubleshooting through a myriad of issues with physical and virtual elements following proliferation of virtualization.  It is a known fact that in such a scenario, network managers' responsibilities extend well beyond bandwidth, performance and back-up and they tend to tap NetMRI to control configuration and changes attributed to sophisticated networking devices.

It is here that Netcordia's NetMRI steps in to give network managers centralized diagnostic and management control over Cisco's Nexus product family. The Nexus product family comprises holistic analysis of configuration that ties network infrastructure to the health of the services being delivered; detection and correction of configuration and policy violations to achieve a high-performance unified fabric capable of supporting today's virtual machine-intensive servers; and also efficiency in real-time network changes to support the dynamic nature of virtualized environments.

Netcordia believes that the network plays a pivotal role in the data center and that network managers are being called into the data center when there's something wrong and they're counted on to fix problems fast. Says Don Pyle, CEO of Netcordia: "With a combination of NetMRI and Cisco's Nexus products, network managers can preempt large-scale issues with real-time monitoring of what's occurring in the data center network." Network managers deploy NetMRI to end the cycle of troubleshooting that delays strategic projects, instill gold-standard policy compliance across complex information networks, and make network management a proactive and prioritized process.
