Maples ESM Technologies, an outsourcing and training company offering enterprise systems management services, has launched its job-oriented six-week short-term “diploma in IT infrastructure management” course in remote infrastructure management (RIM). This is targeted a both engineering and non-engineering graduates who are seeking a mainstream IT services job.

The company plans to offer this course through its training facilities in India — Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Coimbatore. It provides high-end systems management courses covering enterprise infrastructure from desktops to mainframes, according to V. M. Kumar, Chief Operating Officer.

The course has been introduced, as large infrastructure management services companies were increasingly looking to hire non-engineering graduates for entry-level positions, added Kumar. Maples six-week course had been designed to allow non-engineering graduates to be ready for deployment on live engagements upon completion of this course.

Maples had invested $12 million in setting up its state-of-the-art enterprise computing facility in Chennai.
